Performer, storyteller, cultural bridge
From the foothills of Almora to the stages of New York.
Bina's story begins in the foothills of Almora, India, where her family's roots lie, and continues on the stages of New York City. Her dancing blends heritage, artistry and global rhythm, and she brings soul, precision and joy to every performance.
She trained in both classical Indian dance and Middle Eastern belly dance, refining her craft over 13 years at Westchester Dance Academy. She then deepened her studies with some of New York's most respected teachers, including Nourhan Sharif, Anahid Sofian, Dalia Carella and Azmara.
Audiences have enjoyed her artistry everywhere from cultural festivals to celebrity events, including performances for Beyoncé and John Leguizamo. She has appeared on Good Day New York, The Morning Show Live and Something to Talk About, and performed a traditional Turkish chiftetelli live on The Late Show with David Letterman, a rare spotlight for Middle Eastern dance on mainstream television.
Today she shares that same grace as a professor of Middle Eastern Belly Dance at Purchase College, helping a new generation move with intention and confidence. On stage, in the classroom or at your celebration, Bina dances to connect, uplift and transform.
